Alexandre Laugier, 26, is an all-round artist whose career has been marked by a rare dedication to excellence. Introduced to the piano and trumpet at the age of 5 in Vernon, he immersed himself in jazz culture from an early age. He quickly became the architect of amateur bands before turning professional, forging his identity through sharing and performing.
His thirst for creation led him to the Cours Florent in Paris, where he trained in musical comedy. This pivotal step enabled him to add acting and dance to his technical palette, transforming the musician into a true performer. Whether as a member of the "Hôtel du Pin Sylvestre" theatre company (Avignon Festival 2025) or behind his piano, Alexandre uses his voice as a storytelling instrument, capable of breathing life into the slightest melody.
"WHAT A DREAM IT IS ": AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY IN 10 STOPS
28 January 2026 will mark a major turning point with the release of his first solo album, " What a Dream it is ". Entirely written, composed and arranged by himself, this project is an intimate work served up by a jazz quartet (bass, drums, saxophone, flute and harmonica) made up of his close friends and mentors.
The album is a journey through the emotions of love, from the awakening of feelings to the melancholy of parting ways. Inspired by the elegance of Frank Sinatra and the virtuosity of Peter Cincotti, Alexandre injects codes borrowed from rock and pop, recalling the narrative effectiveness of soundtracks such as La La Land. Between sweetness, regret and relief, he transports us into a passionate story sung in English, where each note seems to seek inner peace. A vibrant tribute to the stories that build us up and push us forward.
